Faculty
Our faculty is our most precious resource and one of the three pillars on which
DSI rests (the other two are students and infrastructure). Our
faculty members develop and deliver the educational programs that bring
excellent students to DSI in the first place. Teachers of DSI have impeccable
qualifications, extensive expertise and experience in their chosen fields
and an overriding commitment to the welfare of their students.The Department has well Qualified motivated staff who strive for excellence with 100% academic conformance. The total number of teaching faculty in the department is 30 out of which there are six professors, four assistant professors, five senior lecturers, fifteen lecturers and among them more than four are doctorates. The experience of faculties in teaching will range from 1-30 yrs.
Students:
The Department has the best input of students. They work very hard with our core values-Discipline, Dedication and Deference. The collective efforts of the staff and students evident from the excellent results and placements. The sanctioned intake for the current year is 120.

Placement
The Department has achieved a record placement for eligible students for the
2008 graduating class i.e. 100% and a total of 47 companies have visited this
year .It gives us immense pleasure to state that the institute has recorded
the best in regards to the placements since 2003. The 54 students of present
6th sem students who are graduating in 2009 have been placed in Infosys, the
first company visited in the current academic year.

Wipro,Infosys, Dell, HP, Carritor, IBM, Satyam Computers ,Accenture,
Phillips, Google, Siemens, Oracle, Tata Consulting Services, Honeywell etc.,

Infrastructure
DSI campuses are designed to support rigorous academic study and promote
shared learning among a diverse student community. DSI campuses incorporate
infrastructure that matches the best in the country-ensuring that the students
have everything they need for a rich, stimulating campus life.
Industry Interaction
- The department has academic alliances with NIIT and IBM that enable courses like C, C++ and J2EE to be offered to students.
- Industry experts from software companies are invited for seminars/interactive sessions with students. These sessions provide much needed exposure to new developments in industry.
- The Department of Computer Science & Engineering has signed a Memorandum Of Understanding with Oracle India Pvt Ltd for running “Work Force Development” in the College Campus.
- MOU with Infosys for Campus Connect Program.
